Good to know that you are a huge fan of sun bear, Christine! So am I! I am curious to know which and where is the wildlife refuge you mentioned that has sun bears. I am in close contact with the sun bear studbook keeper in US and AZA Bear TAG folks and not aware of sun bear in US’s wildlife refuge. Wow, mating of sun bears in that refuge, any success to have babies?

Hi Wanda, I thank you for your encouragement and your admiration. I really hope people will know more about sun bears and start helping them as to other endangered species. Human as a species caused all the damage to them. If human as a species do not help them now, they simply cannot make it!

What a wonderful story of your endeavors - I admire you so much - you are among so many on this site who are dedicated people who see these wild animals in horrible cages and conditions and yet find the strength to help them and march on despite your feelings of helplessness - I admire you greatly and look forward to every sunbear blog!

Siew Te, Welcome!!! I am a huge fan of the Sun Bear and am fortunate enough to have several living in a wildlife refuge about 40 minutes from where I live in the USA. They are funny little bears...especially when mating!! I love their paws as they look like regular feet! I look forward to more wonderful posts and pictures!
