Sweat and smell the bears! Is good to be back!

After some 24 hours of traveling from Missoula, Montana to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, I finally arrived here on the late night of 5th. The mission of this trip is to participate onat the fund raising dinner that will take place on here in Sabah on November 14th.
After a short rest and sleep, I was on the move again flying to Sandakan and the bear center. There, the film crew from BBC already waiting for me to do a short interview about the plight of sun bear and BSBCC. It was really nice to meet the presenter of the program, Joanna Bessey and talk about sun bear and the bear center while the camera was rolling. Here I finally sweat and smell the bears.
Is so good to sweat (FYI, I hardly sweat during the last few months while I was in Montana because of the cold weather) and smell the bears again!

Wong,
I noticed you have a BSBCC shirt on…how do I get one and do the profits (if there are any) go to helping fund the center? I can’t wait to hear about the fund raising dinner and I hope you raise much of the funds you need.
Takec are,

Wong, Great to see you back in the field! That’s wonderful that you are getting some media coverage of the project. BBC is great. I get my best current events coverage from them. Unlike the American news media, BBC still knows what is news-worthy and important for the public to be aware of. I gave up on the U.S. networks because they have dumbed down the news to tabloid garbage and celebrity foibles. Some only devote a minute or two to any international coverage whatsoever. BBC is also reknowned for its nature coverage and programming. Their website is outstanding and regularly posts stories on climate change, endangered species, and ecosystems in peril, as well as important regional news from all over the globe. So it’s very exciting to see the BBC taking an active interest in your work and sharing that information with their viewers. Thanks also for your positive remarks to my recent posts. You’re obviously going through some climate change adjustments of your own about now; quite the contrast between Montana and the tropics! Best Wishes.

Hi Amy,
We made the the T-shirt here in Sabah and only for sale in Sabah. However, I can send you one when I am back to US. Please tell me your size. Yes, all of the profit from the sale of T-shirt go to the centre but the amount is very small. We did not made a mass production the first time.
The fund raising event coming up in less than a week is a very touching story and efforts have been made by everyone working hard to make it happen. I need to write a blog to tell you how touching I am after I learn them all during teh last few days I was here. Stay tune Amy.

Hi The Teach,
Yes, BBC has been doing a wonderful work on wildlife documentary. It is such an honor to be able to work with them. I hope there will be more filming on sun bears, not only by BBC, but also other TV company as well. The world need to see a sun bear and know more about them and their plight. The reason is simply like that.
